History:
Alice was born and raised in Biloxi, MS where she lived with her father, mother and younger sister, Cynthia. Even as a human, Alice could see into the future. Growing up she predicted a lot of things. From simple stuff, like the weather or trips the family would take. In her town, many thought her odd and avoided her, casting Alice as an outsider.
Sometimes, Alice's visions weren't of little things. But, she tended to keep these to herself because there were often negative repercussions if she did share. At 18, Alice warned one of her friends not to marry the man she had planned. After the marriage it was revealed that the man suffered from mental issues. And Alice was blamed, her friend accusing her of having put a curse on the marriage. After warning a cousin not to go on a certain trip and said cousin dying from an accident on the road, Alice's aunt accused her of having jinxed the trip. Due to her premonitions, the townsfolk began calling Alice a witch.
Alice's most traumatizing vision was of her mother being murdered. She had warned her mother and she had subsequently locked herself away in the house for a while to remain safe. However, after her father had returned from a trip he was extremely angry about finding this out and ordered Alice to stop. Alice continued to have the vivid vision of her mother's murder, but overtime her mother paid less and less attention to them.
It wasn't until a month later, when her mom was out in their buggy, that Alice had a very clear vision on how her mother was going to die; a Model T was going to run her off the road. Alice set off to find her mother, but it was too late. Much to her disgust, Alice's father quickly remarried to a lady just a bit older than Alice herself. Mrs. Brandon II was very cold and distant toward Alice. Through bits of information that this new woman let slip Alice was able to determine that this new relationship began while her father and mother were still married. Confronting her father with this new information he became extremely angry.
Following this, Alice had another vision of her own death. Her father was not only going to hire a hitman to dispose of her, but he had hired the same man to murder his deceased wife. Running away, Alice fled to her aunt's house, but still harboring some grudge against Alice regarding her nephew, she chased her away. Heading into the town, Alice was greeted by the town marshal, her father and her aunt. They declared Alice crazy and possessed by the devil, and paid the marshal to take Alice to an asylum quietly.
In the asylum Alice was tortured. Her head was shaved and she was given electroshock therapy, thus erasing all her memories. She also became the favorite of a vampire that was using the patients to his advantage; who was going to notice him feeding off humans that nobody cared for anymore? Since she was the favorite of this nameless vampire, she then became the target of a hunter, James. Seeing this vision, Alice warned her vampire friend and he changed her. Voiding any draw she had from James.
Alice woke up alone and devoid of any memory of her past life. Upon waking up, her first vision was of her future husband, Jasper. Shortly after finding Jasper they happened upon Carlisle and his makeshift family. And from there, the rest is history.
